    Sunshine Village is a world-class ski resort that is known for their abundance of natural snow, high speed chairlifts, 4 star causal and business dining services and stunning views of the Canadian Rocky Mountains.

    Position Overview:

    The Hotel Executive Chef is responsible for planning and directing food preparation and culinary activities for two restaurants at a well-known Ski Resort.

    • Lead and supervise a team of 25 or more employees.
    • Work in partnership with the General Manager to create menus.
    • Ensure catering food execution meets the quality standards. 
    • Ensure staff follow Aramark Health and Safety Program, Occupational Health and Safety Act and WHMIS regulations.
    • Estimate food/labor costs, manage proper inventory levels and order ingredients from preferred suppliers.
    • Provide on-going training and development to direct reports.


    • Minimum four years of Chef experience with a strong background in high-volume catering and managing a multi-unit operation within a resort setting or sports & entertainment venue.
    • Red Seal preferred but not required.
    • Good computer knowledge (e.g. Microsoft Word and Excel).
    • Experience in menu costing, menu planning and food preparation.
    • Demonstrates strong financial/analytical abilities.
    • ServSafe training an asset.
    • Health & Safety Certification an asset.
