    • Menu planning and product selection; ensuring healthy and nutritious options are well represented during all meal periods.
    • Ensure that accurate nutritional information for all menu items is available at point of purchase – residence & retail (via use of menu sheets, menu card indicators, menu legend and Myfitnesspal).
    • Ensure PRIMA Web compliance.
    • Supports the implementation of ARAMARK health, wellness, and sustainability programs.
    • Assists on-site culinary teams with nutrition related questions and menu planning using ARAMARK menu templates, PRIMA software, and other on-site specific resources.
    • Meets with customers who have special dietary needs and helps guide customers towards suitable menu choices, liaising with on-site culinary team as required.
    • Acts as a nutrition resource for operations and for customers and clients within the university or college.
    • Liaises with campus health & wellness departments to support client/campus wellness initiatives.
    • Responds to nutrition-related customer inquiries.
    • Participates in regularly scheduled RD teleconferences.
    • Meet with client on a monthly basis to discuss nutrition targets.
      Participate in Health & Wellness Committee meetings.
    • Prepares and/or implements communications (social media, newsletters, factsheets, etc.) and promotions/events that support healthy and sustainable eating practices.
    • Designs and conducts customer surveys as required.
      Co-ordinates and participates in campus wellness events.
      Acts as a mentor for dietetic interns.
    • Investigates new products as required by local on-site operations teams, liaising with ARAMARK Supply Chain Management as necessary.
    • Contacts food suppliers and manufacturers to obtain nutritional information on food products as required.
    • Implement and assist in the development of campus dining sustainability programs and campaigns.
    • Participate and promote Aliments du Québec au menu program and encourage local food purchasing.
    • Track purchases using Sysco’s V-Trak and manual invoicing, and complete & present Institutional Food Fund Tracking Sheet for local and/or sustainable purchases.
    • Monitor and evaluate sustainability initiatives across all campus dining locations.
    • Play an active role in promoting, training, and tracking recycling efforts.
    • Attend meetings that center on sustainability such as CIBIM, Aliments du QC au menu, Fair Trade, etc.
    • Participate and plan activities focused on fair trade initiatives on campus such as Fair Trade Campus week, Fair Trade Film Festival, Fair Trade Bake Sale, Free Cone Day, etc.


    • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition Science (BSc, BASc) or Registered Dietitian (RD).
    • Experience in food service administration and menu planning is an asset.
    • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
      Independent, flexible and organized.
    • Ability to work as part of a multi-functioning team.
    • Knowledgeable and competent with computer technology (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
