    Description

    Aramark Canada is looking for Cooks with experience in remote camp food production & service. This is a remote based mining operation in Northeastern Ontario with a 2 week in – 2 week out rotation. Room & board is provided and you may be eligible for travel allowance - site specific.

     

    The Cook will be responsible for preparing consistently high quality food. Your focus will be on quality food production, menu design and food and labour cost management in coordination with the Executive Chef.

    • Be part of a dedicated team of employees.
    • Ensure that all food service standards and quality requirements are met.
    • Assist with Menu planning, ordering and inventory.
    • Assist with catering fucntions when required.
    • Hands on food preparation and serving when needed.
    • Weekly financial reporting.
    • Ensure Health & Safety regulations are followed.
    • Ensure operation’s level of profitability and client satisfaction.
    • Corporate marketing & promotions planning.
    • Training and development of employees.
    • 2 week in ; 2 week out rotation at camp

     

    Qualifications

    • Three plus years cooking experience in a fast paced, food service operation
    • Red Seal or Chef paper preferred 
    • Background and high level security required
    • Strong communication skills
    • Good computer knowledge (MS WORD and Excel)
    • Experience in menu planning and food preparation
    • ServSafe training an asset
    • Health & Safety Certification an asset
    • Demonstrates strong work ethic and ability to work with others
