    Description

    The Retail Manager will report any necessary changes and initiatives to the District Manager while adhering to the strict guidelines as outlined by the Aramark Policies and Procedures. He/She is responsible for the planning, organizing and directing of all aspects of the component. The Retail Manager is responsible for providing leadership to a team of foodservice associates within multiple franchised units. Operations may vary in size and scope based on client population and requirements.

    • Implements and leads compliance on all Aramark operating standards and legislated standards within the component including company policy and procedure, Health and Safety Standards and Safe Food Handling
    • Uphold Franchised Brand Standards.
    • Works with the Regional Human Resources Manager to manage all hiring, staffing, labor, progressive discipline, training and administration of HR policies.
    • Develops operational component forecasts each period and is able to explain variances in sales, costs and operational activities.
    • Oversees the implementation and maintenance of marketing and culinary components within the component.
    • Collects, records and deposits all revenues received at the component and maintains accurate records.
    • Responsible for making sure the daily operation of the component are running smoothly with the understanding that there will be times when you’ll have to “jump in” and work within the component.
    • Supervise staff to ensure they are providing excellent customer service. 
    • Motivate and encourage the staff daily. Work with the Regional HR department to implement Aramark’s “Encore Encore” Program.
    • Assist the Regional Human Resource Manager with the training and staff development
    • Assist in disciplinary action alongside the Regional Human Resource Manager.
    • Monitor equipment repair and maintenance on site.
    • Liaison with the Regional Marketing Manager to launch Marketing Initiatives and Promotions
    • Scheduling – tracks daily labour on schedule and reports to District Manager on a weekly basis.
    • Maintains staff availability list
    • Approves and Communicates approval of all Request Off forms
    • Cash Reconciliation including over/short tracking and employee coaching re: cash handling
    • Change Till Reconciliation (Daily)
    • Inventory counts conducted on a weekly basis.
    • Maintains accurate records for all transactions including sales, petty cash and all accounts receivable

    Qualifications

    • At least 5 years of supervisory experience in a fast paced food service environment.
    • Knowledge of computerized spreadsheet and word processing programs.
    • Self-directed with strong interpersonal and communications skills.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Positive attitude and genuine customer focus orientation
    • Able to be flexible, evening and weekend shifts when required.
