    Description

    The Resident District Manager is responsible for strategic planning and overseeing the day to day operations of Foodservices within a multi-site university. 

    • Directly oversees Managers in the Foodservice department including Retail, Residence, Catering and Beverages Services.
    • Establishes and maintains effective communications and working relationships with their Management team, front line employees and University community.
    • Establishes business plans, operating budgets and projections to meet financial goals. 
    • Communicates ongoing and projected status of business plan and budget to client liaison.
    • Monitors financial and non-financial results in all areas to achieve company and client objectives.
    • Ensure that all relevant Aramark policies, procedures and programs are properly implemented (i.e. Marketing initiatives, Health & Safety, Food Safety, Food Waste Management etc.)

    Qualifications

    • A minimum of five (5) years progressive management experience in a high volume, multi-site operation, ideally in the Higher Education sector.
    • University or College Degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management or related filed
    • Strong planning, financial management and strategic thinking skills
    • Must demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills.
    • Must be able to work independently, and demonstrate problem solving, innovation and customer service skills.
    • Recognized as an effective communicator.
    • Ability to respond effectively to changing demands.
