    Description

    Reporting to the Director of Global Safety and Risk, you will lead initiatives at the regional, district and site level to reduce environmental, health and safety risks. The successful candidate will work with regional leadership to ensure compliance with regulatory and Aramark requirements associated with various aspects of the organization.  You have strong leadership skills and the ability to influence without authority. You desire to build and strengthen EHS and food safety knowledge. Proven ability to support effective program implementation is essential.  You will work closely with corporate Global Safety & Risk peers and site/business operational leadership within the organization to provide support on all EHS, and food safety matters.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Responsible for cultivating and maintaining effective working relationships with client groups at key leadership levels (RVP, VPO, DM) and becoming integrated as part of these executive teams.
    • Support development, maintenance, and deployment of program tools and resources
    • Work with Regional Vice President of Operations for Eastern Canada and corporate Global Safety & Risk team to coach and lead field operations in executing Aramark EHS and food safety policies, programs and standards to reduce risk.
    • Assist with execution of EHS and food safety initiatives (i.e., working group, pilot processes, etc.)
    • Assist locations in EHS/food safety audits, inspections and resolution of findings.
    • Manage field level inquiries requiring support and assist in resolution.
    • Support in presenting field training on EHS and food safety compliance and risk topics.
    • Support with researching EHS risks and tracking changes that could impact operations.
    • Measure, monitor and evaluate field effectiveness of Aramark SAFE and SAFE Engagement processes and regulatory compliance readiness
    • Track and monitor emerging trends, arising and/or changes in EHS and food safety best practices.

    Qualifications

    • Required to be bilingual in French Canadian/English.
    • 3+ years of safety, environmental, and/or food safety experience.
    • Bachelor's degree.
    • Diverse background/experience in addressing safety, environmental, and/or food safety issues and understanding of EHS compliance programs.
    • Ability to travel across Eastern Canada (approximately 30% travel)
    • Understanding of Canadian occupational and environmental regulations as well as food safety best practices is preferred.
    • Knowledgeable of ISO management system principles (to serve global clients) and quality assurance programs (Six Sigma, ISO, etc.) is also desirable.
