    Description

     

    Project Specialist: EVS are generalists: supporting facilities maintenance with the field operations teams. Responsible for QA, training and coaching on Operations tools like Labour Scheduling Tool, Kronos (Time and Attendance tool), Prima Web (proprietary system for recipe creation), Food management and facility management. 

     

    They are the first line of contact regionally for the field operations teams and partner closely with the OpEx Business Process Managers and Support Directors to drive efficiency through cost and productivity.

     

     Responsibilities:

    • Collect, space and data collection and input into CMMS Software.
    • Verify site data with ARAMARK personnel and hospital staff.
    • Review design documents and project scopes to ensure the intent of the project will be met.
    • Ensure Aramark Laundry, Housekeeping, Maintenance and Transport Standards are adhered to and followed.
    • Develop check lists for planned work and develop process for new and existing accounts
    • Manage project budgets and expenditures to ensure approved project budgets are not exceeded.
    • Develop an inventory of “open issues” and track all issues until resolution or closure.
    • Review, research and implement facility related technical and regulatory issues.

    Internal & External communications

    • Daily contacts with hospital liaison and Aramark Manager to discuss project progress, schedule, and “open issues.”
    • Weekly contact with  ARAMARK OPX Director to discuss and coordinate project issues.
    • Daily contact with clinical staff for coordination of project as required.
    • As needed contact with visitors to assist with directions throughout the hospital.

    Working conditions:

    • Requires the ability to function in a routine office environment with frequent interruptions.
    • This position requires occasional climbing, crawling, crouching, or other unusual work positions, and occasionally the physical effort for performing light manual labor and lifting no more than sixty (60) pounds, carrying, pushing or pulling heavy objects.
    • This position is not often exposed to construction hazards.
    • This position requires frequent travel and driving.

    Qualifications

    • College degree or technical college degree.  Degree in an engineering or environmental discipline is preferred.
    • Certificate in Housekeeping/Facilities Management Practices would be considered an asset
    • Demonstrated experience working with the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care regulations preferred 
    • Considerable management experience in Environmental/Housekeeping services with demonstrated progressive leadership abilities
    • Experience on internal systems e.g.: LST, Kronos will be considered an asset 
    • Success in this position requires the ability to coach and train in a dynamic environment. 
    • Individual must possess sophisticated communication skills (written and verbal) with demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships across the enterprise. 
    • It is critical to the success of all FMG team members to have experience with and a strong inclination for change management initiatives.
    • Prior experience working on a large-scale project is strongly desired.
