    Aramark Canada is looking for a District Nutrition and Marketing Program Specialist for a 12 months contract. 

    This role requires someone with either a Nutrition background OR a Registered Dietician with some marketing experience who will support/execute Aramark's Marketing programs while supporting a few different accounts in the Higher Education Line of business across GTA. 

     

    Job Summary: This position will assist in development and implementation of marketing and health & wellness plans, and programs for multi components. The position reports to the District Manager and helps support all critical business initiatives including sales growth, market penetration, customer retention, quality image, health & wellness & sustainability awareness, improved margins, and market share for the units.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the development of strategies to grow our business in the Retail Channels, QSR, Full Service, Coffee, and Convenience and Meal Plans.
    • Ensure locations are adhering to Pricing Strategies, Plan-o-grams, Brand Standards
    • Supports the implementation of Aramark health, wellness, and sustainability programs including (but not limited to) Healthy for Life™, Get the Good Stuff™, and Green Thread™, the Ontario Healthy Menu Choices Act.
    • Assists on-site culinary teams with nutrition related questions and menu planning using ARAMARK menu templates, Mitrition software, and other on-site specific resources
    • Responsible for measuring the results of the marketing initiatives and gaining customer feedback
    • Responsible for consumer engagement initiatives including Voice of the Consumer, and DiningStyles Survey.
    • Acts as a nutrition resource for operations and for customers and clients
    • Leverage brands and vendors for marketing & merchandising opportunities
    • Communicating our sustainability efforts to the campus community effectively and generate more awareness on sustainability efforts
    • Prepares and/or implements communications (social media, marketing calendars, newsletters, factsheets, client presentations, etc.) and promotions/events (ie. Healthy for Life™ brand ambassador events, local food events, healthy food sampling, Nutrition Month events, etc.) that support healthy and sustainable eating practices.
    • Develop original concepts to support advertising, direct mail and other promotional campaigns for Aramark.

    Qualifications

    • University or College Degree/Diploma in Marketing, Communications, or Nutrition, RD preferred
    • Minimum 1-3 years experience in service industry preferably in food service or hospitality management
    • Proven ability to develop brand and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to senior management
    • Strong understanding of consumer marketing principles in brand management, retail, and online channels
    • Ability to think creatively and be innovative
    • Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges
    • Skills using technology and methodologies in graphic design, web design, and website management
    • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
    • Deadline driven and enjoys the creative process
    • Ability to work well under pressure
    • Photography and editing skills are an asset
    • Proven working experience in social media marketing
    • Knowledge of online marketing and a good understanding of major marketing channels
    • Superior customer service orientation
    • Experience using Google Analytics and Salesforce
