    We are currently hiring for a Facilities Supervisor who will be responsible for leading teams in the areas of Plant Operations & Maintenance (POM) and some Project Management in a +300 bed acute care community Hospital in East Toronto, Ontario. The goal of this opportunity is to ensure a safe, well-maintained facility with a high level of customer satisfaction within the resources allocated.


    • Initiates and manages the above services in concert with the facility administration’s overall goals and plans for the Hospital.
    • Provides the leadership, management skills, and technical knowledge in mobilizing human and physical resources to achieve service objectives within the facility.
    • Drives implementation processes through effective collaboration between all departments, and stakeholders.
    • Enforces policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of POM services and assures compliance with all Provincial and National regulations.
    • Monitors service and staff performance in relation to the above standards, policies and procedures. Build a strong facilities team focused on operational and customer service excellence.
    • Develops standards of accountability and reporting of activities.
    • In collaboration with the Managers, departmental supervisors and lead hands, establishes business plans.
    • Communicates ongoing and projected status of projects and budget to the General Manager.
    • Monitors financial and non-financial results in areas of responsibility to achieve company and client objectives and ensures that corrective actions are implemented when variances and deficiencies are identified.
    • Manages projects, in collaboration with the General Manager, Client and contractors within the scope of the maintenance budget.
    • Provides ongoing training and development programs for all service personnel with follow up and evaluation.



    • Managerial knowledge and skill associated with the completion of C.E.T. / Building operator program or combination of education and relevant experience.
    • Minimum 5 year in institution/ Hospital setting is required.
    • Licensed in a related trade is definite asset.
    • Strong computer knowledge in M.S. office, BAS, F/A, and PM programs.
    • Ability to work with contractors from all disciplines associated with building operation and maintenance.
    • Able to demonstrate proficiency with the working's and operation of, boilers, chillers, H.V.A.C equipment, Hydronic heating, Diesel generators, Electrical distribution 600V and down, Med gas systems.
    • Able to read Blue prints, familiar with relevant codes, CSA, OFC, ESA, etc
    • Project management.
