    • As a member of the Support Services Management Team, the Housekeeping Supervisor will provide leadership and technical expertise to the Hospitality group, across all Campuses, including development and guidance of the Housekeeping team.
    • Hospitality services includes: Patient room and procedure room cleaning, environmental cleaning, and waste management.
    • Recruit and develop the members of the Hospitality Supervisory team including setting and monitoring accountabilities, ensuring alignment with Corporate and Departmental goals and priorities, training and coaching, and performance evaluation. Leadership development includes ensuring processes are in place to develop front line staff for future Supervisory/Management roles.
    • Supervisor development includes: monthly individual meetings, assistance with work routines and scheduling, consultation over employee issues, review of staffing levels, audit review, attendance management, co-development of front line staff performance reviews, detailed review of unit/area of supervision, review of existing issues and resolutions, review of daily work routines for Leaders, discipline issues.
    • Coach and assist Supervisors regarding Human Resource issues including coaching, developing, recognition, and discipline of front line staff.
    • One of the main point of contact for the EVS Department.
    • Work closely with Infection Control
    • Support ordering supplies


    • Experience with housekeeping procedures, practices, equipment, chemicals, etc.
    • Understanding of PIDAC Environmental best practices.
    • Understanding of regulatory issues such as WHMIS, OH&S, etc.
    • Understanding of housekeeping equipment
    • Financial acumen.
    • Proficient in use MS Office software.
    • Mandatory Minimum Grade 12 – Preferred Post-Secondary Education in a Healthcare, Hospitality or Management field.
    • Minimum 2 year experience managing Environmental Services in Acute Healthcare setting.
