    Reporting to the Food Service Director, the Catering Manager will be responsible for the day to day operations of the Catering department as well as participate in the day to day operations of the Residence Dining Facilities.



    • Management of unionized and non-unionized employees
    • Oversee catering functions and special events for internal and external clients/ groups.
    • Meet with clients to determine catering requirements, floor plans, rentals, staffing for events.
    • Develop and build internal and external catering business
    • Work closely with the Culinary Manager to plan menus for clients.
    • Ensure job instructions are clearly understood so that tasks are completed effectively to the client’s satisfaction.
    • Ensure all staff provide quality, courteous service to all customers.
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
    • Manage catering purchases and inventory.
    • Monitor financial operating results in order to achieve company and client objectives
    • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
    • Conduct weekly meetings with team.
    • Establish and maintain clientele rapports.
    • Being client focused and a business partner to resolve client concerns in a timely manner
    • Supervising, scheduling, training and developing staff
    • Ensure all staff adhere to the Health and Safety Policy as well as Aramark Policies and Procedures.
    • Adhere to the Aramark policies and procedures, as well as the Health and Safety standards.
    • Uphold Classic Fare Catering standards through training and taking part in program updates offered by Head Office.
    • Be a valued partner to the Residence Dining Team and assist in the day to day operations of the business.
    • Perform other duties assigned by your Manager.


    • Minimum  2 – 4 years of Catering Supervisor or Management experience.
    • Completion of Hospitality or Food and Beverage program preferred
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, customers, colleagues and staff
    • Demonstrated experience in successful business growth
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate a team
    • Ability to plan, organize and direct the work of others
    • Excitement for the work you are doing
    • Demonstrated ability to multi task and be organized
    • Attention to detail is a must.
