    Description

    Aramark Canada is hiring a Catering Coordinator to support one of our business dining clients. The Catering Coordinator is responsible for providing operational assistance by overseeing catering, event planning, ordering/inventory, financial accountability, and human resources functions.

     

    This position is Monday to Friday but requires some flexibility to work a variable schedule during weekday events.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Coordination and oversight of all internal catering and events
    • Responsible for developing and maintaining relations with clients, vendors and suppliers
    • Development of strategic plans to ensure efficient and effective catering execution
    • Hire, train and develop staff with the assistance of District Manager
    • Monitor and analyze financials, with a focus on P&L statements
    • Embrace Aramark standards and SOP’s with the client’s interests as a priority
    • Maintain food safety standards through food temping, fridge logs, dishwasher temping and logs, sanitizing, safety observations, workplace inspections, safe briefs, and food safety training
    • Ordering and managing inventory through Sysco, as well as managing the coffee program
    • Manage attendance through weekly time sheets, Ceridian labour report, vacation time calculations, Kronos, and sick leave

    Qualifications

    • 2 – 3 years’ supervisory experience
    • Experience in hospitality and food service is an asset
    • Organization, attention to detail, ability to multi-task and strong communication skills
    • Strong client relations skills
    • Food Safe and Serving It Right are an asset
