    Our Leisure group specializes in serving consumers; recreational and entertainment needs in national and state parks, zoos, aquariums, science centers, museums and other day-use cultural attractions. The scope of our operations includes operating lodging, conference and meeting space, houseboats and other marine activities, retail merchandise shops, fine dining restaurants, and interpretive tours in some of this country's most pristine protected lands and national parks.


    Position Overview

    As the Executive Chef at the Sunshine Village Ski Resort in picturesque Banff, Alberta you will be responsible for providing leadership in the administration and the management of a consistently high quality food service across 14 outlets and catering in different outlets. This position is a day shift but some occasional events/nights will be required, will have to stay on the mountain as needed.
    You will be responsible for planning and executing the delivery of food services throughout the location. Your focus will be on quality food production, menu design and food and labor cost management.

    • Lead and supervise a team of employees
    • Ensure that all food service standards and quality requirements are met
    • Menu planning, costing, ordering and inventory
    • Hands on food preparation and serving when needed
    • Weekly financial reporting
    • Ensure Health & Safety regulations are followed
    • Ensure operation’s level of profitability and client satisfaction
    • Corporate marketing & promotions planning
    • Training and development and recruiting of employees


    • Five and plus years Executive Chef experience in a fast paced food service operation
    • Fine Dining experience required
    • High volume dining experience required (more than 1000 meals a day)
    • Experience managing a staff more than 100 employees
    • Red Seal or Chef paper required
    • Strong communication & supervisory skills
    • Good knowledge of company policies & procedures
    • Good computer knowledge (MS Word and Excel)
    • Experience in menu costing, menu planning and food preparation
    • Health & Safety/Food Safety Certification
    • Demonstrates strong financial/analytical abilities
    • GHS certified
    • First Aid Training
