    Aramark Canada has an opening for an experienced Registered Dietitian (RD) within the Marketing Solutions division as the Director Healthcare Menu Development. 

    Roles and Responsibilities: 

    • Supports strategy development in support of healthcare dining strategies
    • Leads the development and supports the execution of acute and long term care menus, including therapeutic and texture modified extensions, for healthcare settings including hospitals, long term care facilities, retirement homes and supportive living facilities
    • Ensures all menus fit nutritional and cost parameters set by the organization and develops policies and procedures to support ongoing maintenance
    • Works in synergy with the Aramark Culinary Innovation Centre and Operational Excellence team to make recipe recommendations that meet healthcare nutrition and cost criteria and production / service model requirements for both acute and long term care, including the implementation of IDDSI (International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative)
    • Identifies and communicates regulatory requirements and annual menu nutrition goals for both acute and long term care menus
    • Collaborates with client clinical RDs to ensure menu and service model alignment
    • Assists with validation of nutrient analysis for standardized recipes tested at the Aramark Culinary Innovation Centre via approved recipe management software
    • Supports maintenance of corporate acute and long term care menus in both corporate recipe management software and corporately licensed menu / diet office management software to ensure menu information and corresponding key ingredient, recipe, nutrition and cost information is maintained and updated quarterly
    • Assists on-site operational teams with nutrition related questions and menu planning using Aramark menu templates, recipe management software, and other on-site specific resources including third party menu / diet office management software
    • Provides input into development of corporate marketing and communications material related to Healthcare menus for both acute and long term care
    • Collaborates with Business Development and Marketing teams to articulate value proposition and support sales process as required
    • Provides input into the evolution of the Aramark Comprehensive Dietetic Internship Program and acts as a mentor for dietetic interns
    • Liaises with Aramark Supply Chain for product requirements to support Healthcare menus
    • Leads development of operational implementation materials / guides and ensures communication with operational teams, supports ongoing field training
    • Supports the implementation of Aramark health & wellness programs including Healthy for Life™

     

    Qualifications

    • Registered Dietitian (RD) with minimum 3 years clinical experience in both acute and long term care settings
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in food service administration and menu planning in a healthcare setting
    • Results oriented
    • Excellent presentation and communication skills
    • Independent, flexible and organized
    • Ability to work as part of a multi-functioning team
    • Knowledgeable and competent with computer technology (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power-point), databases and recipe and nutrition analysis software
    • Valid driver’s licence and automobile for frequent travel between account sites
    • Willingness to travel across Canada as required
