    The Imagine Services Engineer Specialist is responsible for repairs, inspections, installations, troubleshooting, and calibrating equipment in specialty imaging equipment area.  Responsible to perform planned maintenance and electrical safety inspections on most classes of imaging equipment.

    Key stakeholders are management and technical staff. They also communicate regularly with medical staff, department managers, and clinical staff.  Establishes and maintains solid relationships with sales and service representatives of imaging equipment.


    Job Responsibilities: 

    • Serves as resource and provides assistance to other staff in areas concerning specialty, including providing training and instruction to others on specialty equipment. Travel to multiple sites may be required.
    • Provides instruction to equipment users on electrical safety, safe operation, and care of equipment.
    • Assists in administrative responsibilities associated with the performance of duties including work order control, maintains history records, PM and safety inspections, purchase requests.
    • Maintains repair parts and imaging Maintains documentation as required by management and as outlined by current policies and procedures. Documents time and expenses in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Makes decisions that are broader based using general policy guidelines.
    • Makes decisions on majority of complex issues.
    • Provides alternate solutions for critical issues to higher level for approval prior to implementation.
    • Uses office automation hardware and software applications and diagnostic service software appropriate to the equipment being serviced.
    • Repairs installs inspects, troubleshoots, and calibrates equipment in specialty area and is familiar with most classes of imaging equipment. Performs planned maintenance and electrical safety inspections.
    • Monitors and maintains quality control of services provided by outside vendors.
    • Assists in the evaluation and selection of new equipment, accessories, and supplies in area of specialty.
    • Assists in writing detailed purchase specifications for specialty equipment.


    • Associates degree in electronic technology or electronics or related field or equivalent training experience required.
    • Minimum 5 years industry experience servicing MRI, CT, ANGIO equipments
    • Working familiarity with Health Canada and HARP standards for imaging equipment is required

    • Demonstrated experience in working with teams while driving toward results 
    • Highly organized while managing multiple priorities 
    • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal in ensuring that customer needs are met 
    • Demonstrated capacity in influencing others without formal authority 
    • Proven experience in accessing problems and providing / implementing solutions 
    • May require some travel 10-15% depending on the account 
    • Physical aspects of the job are frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing between 25-50 pounds.
