Aramark Canada is hiring for an Executive Chef for one of our Higher Education accounts. 

The start date for this position will be in the summer of 2018.


The Executive Chef will be responsible for providing leadership in the administration and the management of a consistently high quality food service. 

Responsibilities inclide planning and executing the delivery of food services throughout the location. Your focus will be on quality food production, menu design and food and labour cost management.

  • Lead and supervise a culinary team
  • Ensure that all food service standards and quality requirements are met
  • Responsible for menu planning, ordering and inventory and all aspects of catering management
  • Ability to be hands on in food preparation and serving when needed
  • Responsible for financial reporting on food operations
  • Ensure Health & Safety regulations are followed
  • Incharge of ensuing food safety practices are being followed
  • Responsible for operation’s level of profitability and client satisfaction
  • Heavily involved in promoting corporate marketing programs & promotions planning
  • Manages the training and development of employees


  • 5 plus years management experience in a fast paced food service operation
  • Red Seal or Chef paper required
  • Strong communication & supervisory skills
  • Demonstrated success in using Corporate marketing & promotional programs
  • Good computer knowledge (MS WORD and Excel)
  • Experience in menu costing, menu planning and food preparation
  • ServSafe training an asset
  • Health & Safety Certification an asset
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and overseeing financials with strong analytical abilities
