Assistant Hospitality Manager (13 Month Contract)

We are currently seeking an Assistant Hospitality Manager for Aramark operations at the Father Lacombe Society in Calgary, Alberta.

Reporting the General Manager, the Assistant Hospitality Manager will plan, administer, and direct all unit activities related to food service, housekeeping and laundry, complying with the standards established by Aramark Healthcare, regulatory agencies, and client.  You will lead foodservice, housekeeping and laundry departments and hourly staff.  Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other departments to provide a unified food service experience for residents, visitors, and employees. 


Please note that this is contract opportunity expected to last 13 months.



  • Deliver strong operational performance by executing against Aramark Healthcare and regulatory agency standards and programs, continually monitoring operations, and completing assessments and necessary action plans to provide optimal food quality and meal service
  • Drive resident satisfaction and maintain client relationships through rounding
  • Ensure compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards
  • Supervise, staff, train, conduct applicable rounding, and manage the performance of the front line staff regarding presentation, quality, cost control
  • Manage and control labor, resources, and materials to ensure quality, adequacy of supply, staffing levels, and cost service systems
  • Utilize customer feedback to respond to customer/resident needs and to improve


  • Minimum 2-3 years food service management experience in a fast paced food service environment, healthcare environment is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience managing EVS/Housekeeping function would be an asset
  • Willingness to complete criminal record check and vulnerable sector check 
  • Experience with food cost management is essential  
  • Ability to communicate (both verbal and written) effectively with clients, customers of client and support staff
  • Requires strong leadership, organizational and planning skills
  • Position requires the ability to work with confidential employee, client and Aramark information
